Paul Berry After building the product for Huffington Post, and owning the product and engineering groups at AOL after we were acquired, it was clear to me there was a huge gap between what the current CMS offering gave the world and what the world needed. Five years later we are at scale, moving the needle and doing to WordPress what Airbnb did to Craigslist. Social and Centralized WordPress, Drupal, and the custom CMS solutions of the world are all independent, non-connected instances that each need to be updated individually. There are over 87 million instances of WordPress alone in the world, and each security upgrade, feature update, and every other single thing has to be updated for each site individually. By contrast, RebelMouse is a social, centralized platform built to keep up with the speed of the tech giants. Our updates are pushed out to all of our sites at once and sometimes even multiple times a day with content creation tools integrated directly into social APIs. We can get clients off of clunky CMSs and into the future in a matter of days. We iterate with the times and tell you what’s changing in the world, how we’ve reacted to it, and how it’s built into the updates you get from the platform. Our creative agency team trains your teams or takes on special projects.

Gawthorpe Gawthorpe is a small village on the northern outskirts of Ossett with historic ties to Dewsbury and the settlement of Kirkhamgate via the Gawthorpe Lane footpath in Wakefield. For many years, Gawthorpe was considered a separate hamlet, but in , it was joined with Ossett and South Ossett to become Ossett-cum-Gawthorpe.
Immediately to the left of the building housing the shop is the Gawthorpe Zion Chapel. However, there is evidence to suggest the village may have existed in Roman times and certainly there was a small Roman settlement at nearby Street Side, alongside the old Roman road. Like most English villages, Gawthorpe used to be self-contained with a large selection of shops offering every conceivable type of goods and service.
There were greengrocers, confectioners, butchers, blacksmiths, shoemakers, bakers, barbers and ale sellers who all plied their trade at the end of the 19th century. In , Benjamin Day, aged 73 and his 20 year-old grandson Halliday Day had a greengrocer’s shop on High Street, near Tately Lane, but were also herb beer brewers, producing non-alcoholic drinks for those customers who were perhaps members of the Temperance Movement. Gawthorpe Post Office s.
The villagers didn’t have much in the way of transport, so local shops competed on price and quality alone. There was still a good selection of shops in the village during the s and s, with a busy Co-op store, a post office and general store. Today there are none.

New Zealand was originally settled by Polynesians from Eastern Polynesia. Genetic and archaeological evidence suggests that humans emigrated from Taiwan to Melanesia and then travelled east through to the Society Islands ; after a pause of 70 to years, a new wave of exploration led to the discovery and settlement of New Zealand. This was not possible in the south of the South Island, but wild plants such as fernroot were often available and cabbage trees were harvested and cultivated for food.
Warfare also increased in importance, reflecting increased competition for land and other resources. As elsewhere in the Pacific, cannibalism was part of warfare. Leadership was based on a system of chieftainship, which was often but not always hereditary, although chiefs male or female needed to demonstrate leadership abilities to avoid being superseded by more dynamic individuals. New Zealand has no native land mammals apart from some rare bats so birds, fish and sea mammals were important sources of protein.

Where are mobile speed cameras in Bradford and West Yorkshire for the week starting February 6?
Ossett’s Textile Mills When you look at any old pictures of Ossett, especially those pictures taken from the outskirts of the town, an enduring feature is the sheer number of smoking mill chimneys that punctuate the skyline. Every respectable Ossett textile mill had a chimney and usually a mill dam too. So numerous and prominent were these huge brick structures that you might think that there had been a competition among those pioneering Ossett businessmen to see who could build the biggest and best mill chimney.
Industries[ edit ] West Yorkshire grew up around several industries. Bradford , Halifax and Huddersfield were grown through the development of woollen mills, Leeds’ traditional industry was the manufacturing of cloth, while heavier engineering industries facilitated growth in South Leeds. The woollen and cloth industries declined throughout the twentieth century. Many of the coal mines in West Yorkshire closed during the Robens era in the s, but mining was still a significant employer in the Wakefield district at the time of the —85 strike.
Wakefield has also attracted many service based industries, inparticularly call centres. Two of the big four supermarkets are from West Yorkshire. Morrisons is based in Bradford, while Asda is based in Leeds. Netto have their British headquarters in South Elmsall.
